  1. I wished that being vegan in my country was as easy in my country but here it's really expensive to get meat substitutes other than plain veggies…

  2. About being gassy on a vegan diet…
It took me literally over 6 months for my gas to calm down. Your body has to adjust to a huge amount of fiber it isnt used to, so before the microbiome adjusts your gas is just absurd.
That's why these 30 day vegan challenges make me worried sometimes, took me like 6 months to get adjusted to some of those side effects like that.

  3. Interesting, I am not a Vegan, but I like the Thought of it and I eat Healthy mostly, sometimes Fish less Meat. But 👍

  4. I went plant based halfway through my tennis career and noticed immediate results. I could play for hours without getting tired and I found that my next-day muscle soreness was basically gone. Not to mention I cured my skin disease and reduced menstrual cramps to almost nothing.

  5. Finally. This 30 day challenge done right where the people don't just eat leaves and complain about not being satisfied.

  6. Lmao I farted a lot when I switched. I do eat carbs and veggies and fruits as well. Trying to be balanced and not doing a restricted diet.

  7. They should do videos like this buy almost make them mimic incredibly small sample size scientific trials. Basically have 3 groups of 2 people. All similar fitness and eating habits. One control group, nothing changes, one group does whole food plant based and final group does something like Mediterranean or keto (or make 4 groups) and then do before and after tests. I think that's more interesting

  8. Not knocking the vegan diet at all … lately I've been eating more plant based than ever before. But of course people are going to feel better when they cook for themselves and eat mostly whole foods compared to before when they were eating out – burgers and fries. Just something to think about. Loved the concept for the video though!

  9. Alot of people always feel hungry on a vegan diet because they’re not eating enough!! Plant based food is usually lower calories so ull have to eat like twice as much food! Another plus of veganism you get to eat more!!

  10. Great video, both Betsy and Troy were really open. And I totally think I saw a beautiful butterfly counting to zero on the bar 😉

  11. If you are going to cut out one thing cut out dairy products the bests is all animal products but cutting dairy will be a big improvement

  12. Finally a good "going vegan for 30 days" video! It seemed like you guys were organised and put effort into the food you were making. You see other videos where they dont plan at all and come out of it saying they are feeling low in energy and lethargic and that the vegan diet is not for them. But they didn't even put in the effort to do it right! Im so happy you guys gave it a good go and felt the benefits of eating plants! Great video ✔✔

  13. I havn't watched the videp, but If they were eating trans fats, hydrogenated oils, processed meat and processed dairy before then they will perform better on a plant based diet. A diet containing animal products doesn't have to lack plant foods. This experiment would depend on what the persons body was used to consuming before.

  14. You already know before watching this video that they were going to be in favor of the vegan diet. Also, plant proteins do usually contain all the essential amino acids to make a complete protein, but they aren't as high quality as the amino acid profile from animal proteins. Also, the whole idea around cholesterol being bad for everybody is kinda an outdated way of viewing it.

  15. I’m sorry but why do people at buzzfeed think Netflix documentaries are a reputable source?! Netflix is an ENTERTAINMENT source just like buzzfeed!! These docs are clearly produced for views / entertainment purposes. Get some longitudinal studies / from WHO to see factually accurate data. Lord

  16. Thank you for finally getting some open minded people to try this. No problem with them not going vegan, but just showing that it is possible to eat plant based and be strong

  17. It would be interesting to look at a change of people who already ate healthy but non vegan/vegetarian and then changed to healthy vegan food. That would make a looot more sense to me then saying "surprise, you didnt eat fries and burgers and obviously feel better"

  18. Wrong advice from the dietician. Yes you want complex carbs, but not immediately before a workout. You actually want low fibre and low protein carb meal before a workout although many people do not need to fuel before a workout unless you workout for more than a hour or at really high intensities

  19. It always kills me when people have such great results and they say nah i am not going to stay vegan. It's not going to benefit you as much to have the odd vegetable comparatively. Stick with it!

  20. I don't blame the girl who said she won't go entirely vegan. It's going against the grain of society and that's always hard. I like to call myself an opportunity vegan. I cook my own meals when I can, and I do my best to eat at vegan places if I go out, but if I go somewhere where the only vegan option is iceberg lettuce and some dressing, I will eat meat. I don't want my diet options to impose restrictions on my friends, and meat in small amounts has negligible side affects anyways. This results in me having a meat meal 0-2 times a week, which is something I am comfortable with, so I don't call myself an actual vegan because I'm not! That would be disrespectful to the dedication it takes! I just eat really healthy.

  21. Recently went vegan and I’m so glad I did. I’m lucky that I had a great friend enthusiastically help me through the beginning but I also love seeing videos like these. Motivates me to keep going and I’m happy more and more people are joining the vegan life. 💪💚

  22. Finally a challenge with people actually doing it, but maybe, just maybe, not using the word athletes in the title would be better. They are, athletic, I agree on that but being active and an athlete is two different things, is it not?

  23. Not all the change was strictly due to eating vegan. With Troy, his diet was a disaster. He was finally watching what he ate. If he ate a leaner meat based diet, he would have positive results too.
That said, kudos to him for sticking with such a drastic change in diet. That's never easy, nor is getting used to cooking.
This also explains why Betsy has a couple of vegan videos on Tasty.

  24. The gas/fart thing has to do with the added fibre. Most people eat way more veggies and other high fibre sources when going vegan. Your body needs to adjust. A good way to cut down this is to drink way more than you are used to. Its good for your skin and overall health anayways to drink a lot. I jugg down a whole small bottle before a meal; that adds to around 2.5 to 3l a day.
Having lots of soup helps too to get enogh water. I love making a carrot-ginger or bertroot soup with added protein (i either use beans or hemp protein powder)

  25. I’ve been vegan for 7-8 yrs and before that vego for 16 ,I have so much energy ,look young and feel so good ,vegan all the way baby

  26. So glad to finally see a video where they eat enough calories! I hope they keep up eating (mostly) whole good plant based and encourage their colleagues and workout partners to join them!

  27. I feel like another side effect of trying this challenge is not just eliminating meat. But being vegan and trying to do it well means they’re probably not eating nearly as much processed and fast food.

  28. Muchísimas gracias , gracias a este video encontre el documental the gane changers en Netflix y lo ame así que gracias, exc video

  29. Veganism leads to malnourishment. Plants don't have over 15 nutrients. Plants don't have:

    Vitamins: A, B6 (pyridoxal, pyridoxamine), B12, D, F (DHA), K2
    Protein: carnithine, carnosine, creatine, taurine
    Other: Heme-iron, CoQ10, CLA, adiponectin
Veganism and Agenda 2030 are connected. Watch NWO Diet. Eat meat and live.

  30. Honestly, a lot of things that might convince someone to go vegan have been debunked, e.g cholesterol, environmental sustainability, being more healthier than eating meat etc..
