Fraunces Tavern Reopens After Health Department Violations


THERE ARE CURRENTLY 140 SPEED CAMERAS IN CITY SCHOOL ZONES. THE GROUP WANTS 600 MORE. A LANDMARK TAVERN IN LOWER MANHATTAN THAT HAS SURVIVED SINCE THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION HAS REOPENED AFTER THE CITY HEALTH DEPARTMENT TEMPORARILY CLOSED IT DOWN. INSPECTORS CITED FRANZ’S TAVERN FOR SEVERAL VIOLATIONS INCLUDING EVIDENCE OF RATS, FLIES AND IMPROPER SEWAGE DISPOSAL.
