  1. The World Health Organization confirms that a plant-based diet is superior yet some people still argue that you need meat for good health. I haven't had animal protein an almost four years and manage to recover from my workouts quickly, never get sick, so much energy, sleep like a baby and better performance when training. Animal agriculture is barbaric and super unnecessary and I'm ready for it to disappear. Happy Monday everyone. =)

  2. I have been vegan for 2 years and have lost some weight but nowhere near like everyone told me. I thought I would wither away the all the antivegans talk. So I'll be trying to be more health conscious with the new year. Thanks for sharing!๐Ÿ˜โœŒโคโญ

  3. My diet tip is to eat fruit or a salad and watch or listen to Dr Michael Gregerโ€™s NutritionFacts.org. Works every time.

  4. When I switched to a plant based diet I very quickly dropped to my optimal weight! And the best part is no calorie or carb counting! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿฅฆ๐ŸŽ #plantsftw

  5. I listen to 10 seconds of this and you're wrong
Every single human being is an individual some people vegan is good other people's it's a disaster same is true for carnivire and any other diet but you're preaching dogmatic and you're hurting people I have very healthy successful physically dominant athletic friends and clients who are vegan and I have the same in the carnivore Category if you preach one size fits all you are a scam artist

  6. I totally get this, But! Who wants 6 cups of broccoli instead of a cookie! I personally donโ€™t like sweets, but the people I know who like them, wonโ€™t say Gee! I think I will eat six cups of broccoli instead of that cookie! Is she kidding? But, whatever.

  7. Yes! I am currently on my way to vegan. I just have to cut out egg whites but Iโ€™ve been seeing such a different to my body. I donโ€™t have any inflammation in my body now.

  8. I did loose a lot of weight on a plant based diet, 11kg to be exact. Some people have different metabolisms and loose faster or slower. In this case i did a HEALTHY plant based diet, of vegetables, fruits, legumes etc. I gained half a pound when I got back on vegan pizza, cheese, sugars etc.

  9. I changed to plant based since August 18 and I been constantly gaining weight in the last month I gained 10lbs and I am watching what I eat I up my exercise and nothing I am starting to freak out.

  10. and how guy like joe rogan said to rza in his podcast that many of people are allergic to fruits and vegetables. Joe rogan should and must watch this stories how plant based diet helps lot

  11. A little lacking in the science, but still agree with the message of the video.
I went vegan about 3 years ago and lost 75 lbs in my first 1.5-2 years just by diet change alone and no exercise… Well I exercise now and way more whole foods.

  12. Wow. So crazy to see how wrong the standard dietary advice is. This is dangerous. Do people really want to look like these doctors?

  13. Been doing the vegan diet for many reasons, planet, future for my son, health, animal welfare and I have lost a ton of weight in 15 weeks…. 15.5 kgs / 40lbs at present and I eat like a horse!! ๐Ÿด (but no fake meat products and processed foods, just pure plants, never felt so healthy๐Ÿ˜Š) Why didn't I know about this 30years ago!!

  14. I was wondering why am I not losing a lot of weight as a vegan? Answer I have not eating too much fiber, oops, I have been eating nuts and oils. ๐Ÿ™ˆ
Now I know more fiber. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘
    Thank you.

  15. I was excited to see this video but was disappointed. Very little science was explained. Mostly repetition of "eat whole food vegan" and "low fat". Except that second doctor telling you to eat peanut butter. She should not have been included at all — she just talks about what she likes to eat, doesn't explain weight loss science at all. And tells you to eat fat, which is high calorie and goes straight to your fat cells.

  16. I was 45 years old and was pricing a crippled carts called a little rascal just to get around I used to be completely active I was called rollerblading Rochelle then I started to have inflammation I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis systemic scleroderma fibromyalgia and also Raynaud's phenomenon my body was turning into stone meaning fibrosis material in every connective tissue even in my lung and my heart my kidneys in my bladder pelvis stomach all my joints in my fingers my hands will be coming Claus like Mr Krabs from SpongeBob so after seeing a rheumatoid arthritis doctor and him telling me my information was off the charts on my very own I started eating a plant-based diet I'm going to be 49 years old I weigh the same weight every single day 150 lb I could partake in any bodybuilding show for these past few years when I had all this …… inflammation I was 284 lb now that cuz I have to give you guys an idea of what I look like could model perhaps leggings for Nike or Adidas cuz a well-rounded shape with muscles and curves I have kept this off (this inflammation and also the weight )
because of only plants.. my energy is through the roof. my skin looks amazing I rollerblade minimum 5 times a week I rollerblade with 125 mmmm Alpha rollerblade on sale at Amazon for 170 today get you a pair it is beyond the best exercise out there and feels amazing. and just as a side note I lost the weight so rapid that many of my girlfriend said just as fast as you took it off you will put it back on I wear a size 6 or 8 I could not be happier if I just Inspire one person to eat plant-based that's good for me. thank you for this video and believe me it is true. at my 25th wedding anniversary the lady just would not take my husband and I's photos because she kept putting her face and eye out of her lens and yelled over to me I cannot believe that I am taking your photos at your 25th anniversary party but yet you look 25. be blessed people thank you for loving yourselves and wanting to make a change even if it's just one day a week.

  17. I've been vegan for almost two years and have gone from 365 lbs or so to 270. I owe a lot of it to WFPB but at the end of the day, I had to start consistently tracking calories to stay in a deficit to lose weight.

I'm a binge eater and the idea of being able to eat as much as I want of any kind of food is like giving a crack addict a pipe. I've watched and listened to Greger, McDougall, and the others talk about this kind of thing but none of their recommendations worked for me. I don't fault them, as I understand most folks couldn't overeat whole food plants, but that's just how I am. Food for me is a weapon of self-destruction and if I'm not striving to stay accountable with it, I'll hurt myself.

That said, sticking to a calorie limit is certainly easier with this diet. I never could get to the "lifestyle change, not a diet" mindset of weight loss until going vegan and now that I have, it's all become second nature. Weight loss is no longer a war or a struggle. It's really just a matter of patience.

  18. I'm vegan and I'm 20 lbs heavier than when I ate low-carb three years ago. ๐Ÿ˜ž I blame binging due to emotional eating, and a sedentary lifestyle. I just got a physical after 2.5 years being vegan, and my cholesterol went from 215 to 167. B12 not too high or low. All my other health markers are in the normal range, except for my higher (though still considered "normal") bmi. ๐Ÿ˜“ Again, it's because I eat too much and don't exercise. I've no doubt that if I stop eating my feelings and get moving that I can be a healthier weight, again. All the fiber in the world is no match for emotional eating. Just saying.

  19. Dr Barnard tip on eating lower the nuts [and seeds] is the key.
They may have carry nutrients but they pack a lot of calories.
    Itโ€™s FIBER thatโ€™s the key.

  20. Great info. Dr. Barnard is, however, unaware of the many studies that show that eating nuts does not cause weight gain. Info on Dr. Greger's site at nutritionfacts.org.

  21. I love a plant-based diet. However!! Never compare eating a cookie to eating broccoli! The cookie is going to win for a LOT of people.

  22. I'm so happy and relieved, because my life has changed because of plant based eating.
I've lost weight, i have more energy and I have my erection back. I wake up with an erection which hasnt happen in over 6 years.

  23. I would like to know the best route to NOT lose weight?? My husband switched to vegan plant based in April but he doesn't want to lose weight and is trying to up his calories but is having a hard time. Is there any resource to help him.

  24. I was struggling to fit calories in when I went vegan. Just started enjoying peanut butter, avocado and coconut cream a bit more which helped

  25. what about when a fat person eats almost nothing and can't lose weight? my mom got fat after a hormone treatment and never had her previous weight (she was pratically bones).

  26. Sorry but I had a whole can of beans, with 300g broccoli, a tbsp of flaxseed and a tbsp of peanut butter for dinner and I was not full up. I am hungry 3 hours later. And I had regular decent meals the rest of the day. Why cannot I feel full ๐Ÿ˜ฉ
